Hey breasties! Let’s hear it for the girls!

Breast Cancer Awareness month is here, and although pink is a cute color synonymous with the cause and all, advocating for yourself and your health, e’hem particularly your twins, is the real triumph. And at what cost? Just a little undressing and some self-care caressing to possibly save your sweet life is all!

So hear me out; we’re not just wearing pink lipstick or wearing pink socks and calling it a day, k? Not when breast cancer affects 3 million women in the U.S., We’re talking about it in October and all year round!

Let’s lean in on this some more, shall we?

For starters, all shapes and sizes are at risk so let’s start with debunking the myth that the disease only develops in bigger boobs. Nope, lumps attack baby boobies too. This also isn’t just a woman thing, men get it too. Young and old, no boob is safe!

Breast Cancer very much gives zero fxck$ and does not discriminate.

Now that that part is clear. Let me also get something off my chest. No pun intended. Did you know that every woman has a one in eight chance of developing breast cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society?

With breast cancer being an issue that affects all women, of all colors, all around the world, early detection is key! Women should give themselves breast self-exams once a month, according to Breastcancer.org.

Now I know it might seem weird to poke and prod at your own boobs, but get over it.
Respectfully.

There will be an estimated 271,000 + new cases of invasive breast cancer diagnosed in women, according to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Hey, the more you know, right? So I think you can feel your own tatas for a few minutes once a month. Not only is it a seriously smart precaution, but it also helps you familiarize yourself with your girls, so in case you do see an abnormality in the future, you’ll know right away!

I’m just all for normalizing subject matters and conversations that may be taboo. I’m going to reiterate this again, please don’t be scared to touch yourself! Self-examination is everything! We know that the gold star standard for screening for breast cancer is a mammogram, but PSA, there are three ways you can conduct a DIY self-exam, and it has nothing to do with making a mammogram appointment: You can touch your breasts in the shower, in front of the mirror, and lying down.

For extra pointers, The National Breast Cancer Foundation provides great, straightforward directions on how to do a self-exam and what you should be looking for. I mean, what can’t you find on YouTube or Tik Tok for some bonus info and lighthearted guidance these days as another resource guide.

In short, it turns out “Handle with care” is not solely for special parcel instructions. It’s for your extraordinary life! Boobs absolutely included. You’re the whole package, babe! And when you love yourself enough to take a long, hard look at your pairs, be them perky or swing low sweet chariots, be them homegrown or augmented, you bet your areolas they’ll thank you either way.

Mine did.

BIG love to you all.
Bloom beautifully, breasties.
We got this.
