In this edition of Love Happens’ Design Questionnaire, join us for a peek inside the glamorous design world of Olga Ivanova, co-founder and CEO of the international design bureau Studia 54. Uniting all components of design, from interiors, architecture, and landscape to furniture production and construction. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
The totality of everything positive in your life that brings you energy. When you love what you do for a living, and you’re good at it. When you spend time with your family, especially on vacation. All of this together is a perfect happiness for me.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
When we started, our dream was to influence the design industry in Russia and go international. We really succeeded-Studia 54 has become the first design studio of this scale in our country, and most of the orders now come from other countries. Moreover, we have changed customers’ attitudes towards designers in Russia: this occupation is taken more seriously.
What profession does your alter ego have?
Architect. I studied architecture and was 100% sure that this is what I will do for the rest of my life.
The project you will never forget.
I remember all of my projects; they all are special in their own way. But if I had to choose one of them, I’d go with one of our first foreign projects, which we designed in Morocco. The customer decided to stop by our studio when he was in Saint Petersburg during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and eventually, he decided to order a design project. It had its difficulties but turned out to be successful. Now it’s still relevant and regularly receives a positive response on our social media.
Your favorite business tool or resource.
Pinterest. It’s convenient that you can go there at any time and find new sources of inspiration for yourself, and get acquainted with trends. It’s indeed an endless resource that is constantly being updated, so I monitor it regularly.
The most timeless design.
Any design done correctly and tastefully should be timeless. Furniture and fixtures may become obsolete, but the design never does.

Drawing a design that would be impossible to implement.

Creating a new quality of life, developing personalized solutions, and making the most incredible dreams come true.

I really like the Euphoria Screen. It looks like an art object and can be used in any room. An art object is something that inspires you, and the whole design can be built around it.
